The simple answer is that Mailchimp and Shopfiy had a disagreement which led to Maichimp no longer being available as in integrated app on the Shopfiy platform. Shopfiy has since developed it's own email marketing application called 'Shopfiy Email' which competes directly with Maichmp's core business.
